  • Something magical happened last night

This town knows how to throw a party. San Francisco came unglued this weekend as we celebrated the 75th birthday of the Golden Gate Bridge. Two fun fill days of music, dancing, entertainment, art and exhibits capped off by one magical fireworks display that stole the heart and souls of many of us that call this town our own.

  • Indie designer sample sale

We have teamed up with some other A-M-A-Z-I-N-G indie designers are are having a sample sale!  My friend Lisa started 49 square miles, a handbag and belt line featuring buttery soft leathers.  These are the kind of bags and belts that you will have forever.  Frank & Eileen, another local San Francisco company that makes  Italian linen shirts with great cuts is part of the mix too.  So Ashbury Skies is the newbie in the group and we hope our local fan base will hoof if over the South City to take part in the fun. We cleaned our samples closets and tossed in some odds and ends and we  have a good assortment of sizes to choose from. Come on down! Here are there details. Ping me if you have any questions about the the sale or the merchandise.

  • Our city streets, just last week

San Franciscan’s are almost fully recovered from last weekend’s annual foot race, The Bay to Breakers, which is officially the largest foot race in the world. It starts down town, runs adjacent to the Haight/Ashbury district, and ends up at the end of Golden Gate Park, by the Ocean.  It is pretty well know as an only-in-San-Francisco kind of race.  You are sure to see varying degree of costumes and varying degrees of nudity.  It has gotten out of hand for a number of years so the SFPD has attempted to rein in the boozy runners. Take a look at our city streets just last week.

  • Mid heel platform: Jeffrey Campbell Soiree

We are especially interested in adding mid heels to our closets this season. Let's face it, we all embraced the high platform with open arms that last couple years. We think it is time to get real again and have a little balance in our shoe lives. Lovers of Jeffrey Campbell will adore this transparent mid heeled sandal.  The freshness of the heel mixed with the metallic silver and black leather upper will stamp every outfit this season with a serious dose of contemporary punch. The sturdy lucite heel make this a shoe good for standing, walking and even dancing. Did we mention that this color is exclusive at Ashbury Skies?  Appreciate it Jeffrey!

  • One good neutral oxford : Jeffrey Campbell Miller

I can't help but gush today about Leblogdesushi.com.   Besides having an eye for the best neutral oxfords  (our Jeffrey Campbell Miller that she styled with this week) this Melbourne freelance designer describers herself as a generally fashion obsessed girl with a slight shoe addiction and two pet Pandas. Gotta love that!  Thanks for the love Sushi. We are sending some good California love back your way.
