  • GeeWaWa Lydia : a modern flat

If there is one item that every urbanite will snatch up on a moments notice, it is a stylish flat.  Being a San Francisco company, we know a thing or two about the value of a good pair of flats to navigate our famous hills.  The pointed toe and the modern shape of the of top line put the Lydia in the irresistible category for us.  We just put the Lydia up and have a hunch it won't last long.

  • Single Sole pumps, sandals and booties

    Stockholm Street Style

We browse everything from runway shows to trade shoes, blogs to boutiques to see what is trending in shoe design every season. We have noticed a new uniformity emerging.  In-the-know women, from coast to coast, have been spotted wearing “single soles” shoes. For those not familiar with shoe industry jargon, it is any heel minus the platform. We are not talking about run-of-the-mill ones that are reminiscent of our moms closet either. When properly executed the look is modern-elegance. The ones we like have had high voltage make-overs.

Jeffrey Campbell’s new single sole collection is uber-modern with his use of black and while materials.  Senso’s versions with vinyl uppers and lucite heels are plastic fantastic. Miista’s Siri pump with lucite heel is nothing short of a geometric work of wonder.

As far as how to wear them, they look as chic with casual looks as they do with a party dress. Pair them with cuffed boy friend jeans and a white shirt,  track pants and a leather jacket or skinnies with a sheer blouse. Worn this way, you will nail that sexy tom-boy look. Or, wear them with an asymmetrical leather skirt for an instant polished, sexy look.

Even if you are a tried-and-true sky-high wedge addict, we have a hunch you will save room in your closet for a least one pair of single soles this season.

We took the liberty of gathering some of our favorites currently in our collection:

  • Jeffrey Campbell Everwell bootie

It's no secret: booties with cut-out details are on-trend this season. We know they are SO personal, and it is hard to find just the right one.  Jeffrey Campbell put a rugged spin on the Everwell by giving her a worn-in look with a distressed upper.

  • Paris street fashion

Street fashion shots before and around fashion weeks are some of the best eye candy for us.  With Paris couture shows upon us, Vogue photographer Phil Oh captured the personal expression of this street chic crowd brilliantly this week. Here are a few of our favorites:
