  • Paolo Nutini : New Shoes

  • Aspiga Starfish Sandal

I think this Aspiga chic metallic leather Starfish sandal is hand beaded to perfection. Try wearing them close to home for low-key afternoons or let them peek out of your maxi for that just right ethnic feel.   We are especially proud to feature this British company sandals, not just because of their unique colors and designs, but also because we are helping them, in their mission to fight poverty through trade. Every craftsman puts a bit of themselves into each pair, which to us, means each comes with a healthy dose of good karma.

Our tip: wear them with tangerine nail polish.

  • Happy Birthday Lita

This is one fine day for Jeffrey Campbell fans of the world.  Today celebrates the Lita's  birthday. It has been quit sometime since a shoe has created such a fashion froth worldwide. It couldn't have happened to a nicer group of people too. The team at JC are awesome! We just uploaded this Lita exclusive to Ashbury Skies : The Quilted Lita with spiked toe cap. We don’t think these gems will last long so snatch yours up soon if you in love with her.

  • Souls of America

Few things stop us in our tracks, but local San Francisco photographer Daniel Castro has done just that by setting out across America to document that indispensable part of our lives, our shoes.  He beautifully documents that shoes are windows into our habits, our culture, our demographics and our souls.   This project shows the people of America via the soles on their feet and the ground on which they stand- while raising awareness of those who cannot afford to cover their toes. For every “portrait” Daniel takes, a pair of shoes will be donated to someone in need via, the largest non-profit shoe donation organization in the US.  It was so hard to choose but her are a few or my favorites. Well done Daniel!
